Building a strong list of twitter followers is easy for some and a major struggle for others. While I’m thrilled with my steadily growing following, I fall somewhere in the middle. Finding followers is one thing; having your tweets retweeted is another.

#3. Avoid Idle Chit-Chat
Okay, let’s face it: We all occasionally tweet about “boring” activities, such as sleeping and watching TV. But alas, these are the types of words and phrases Zarrella dubs “least retweetable.”

This one’s kind of a no-brainer, but original content is way more popular than stuff we’ve already read.
